Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
